You have the same sounds and music as you did on the pc version. The worms on the other hand don’t look great, but I feel this may just be down to the lack of zoom during gameplay. The graphics are great and have not lost any of the style in this port to android. Menu navigation for selecting weapons, which is an important factor when you’re being timed, is very touch-friendly. Moving the soldiers around feels almost fluid. When you get used to controlling the worms, then the game goes to an entirely different level. This will provide hours of fun, making your worms look how you want and also the ability to have humorous grave stones when they get killed by flying sheep. One new feature for the game is the ability to customize your worms and gravestones.
Reading through a help guide is not a good way to learn the controls and I hope in future releases they include some form of a tutorial. I will say that the lack of an in-game tutorial baffled me.
You can jump by flicking your worm on the screen. You aim your weapon by dragging on the screen, you can move your worm holding down on either the left or the right of the screen. You can feel this game is a first release as the control feel clunky and take a bit of getting used to. There are also new weapons such as Petrol Bomb, Super Sheep, Pneumatic Drill, Poison Strike, and much more. You also see the return of all the classic Worms’ weaponry such as the Holy Hand Grenade, Concrete Donley, and Ninja Rope. It contains thirty single player missions from five new themes that include Construction, Cheese, Manhattan, Medieval, and Sports.
